Flawed 2008-11-09
I purchased a μ850SW and figured I needed a case. This one seems to be the only one Olympus offers. The case is attractive enough. It comes with an extra-long strap that you can swap for the one that came with the camera. Now the issues: The case is far too snug. This would not be the issue that it is except that on the sides are hard plates that will depress the on/off button on occasion. Annoying. Also, because of the placement of these plates--and the orientation of the strap hook on the camera--it is apparent that the strap must be slid down into the case. This might make for a more secure hold, but isn't very friendly when I want to slide the camera out. The quality of the holder is great, but when put to practical use it just comes off as really bad. It's a pity.
