コラールらしいメカニカルな巧みさが映えた一枚。(二枚組ですが)
ノイズのヴェールが一枚かかったような録音のせいでもあるかもしれ
が煌めくような色彩感や、また絶妙なテンポの「揺れ」を感じること
は少ないが逆にそれが良い結果をもたらすこともある。
とくにそれを強く思ったのは「クープランの墓」の最終曲、トッ
カータ。コラールは、私の持っているいくつかのラヴェルの曲集のなか
でも、もっとも早く正確にこの曲を弾ききっていて、非常に気持ちの
よい演奏だ。そのほかの作品も終始安定して演奏している印象がある
ので、値段を考慮するとよい作品ではあると思う。ラヴェルの全曲集を
安く集めたい方、端正な演奏が好きな方におすすめ。

高いので今まで買うのが躊躇われてたのですが結局購入しましたが、
光とpassionの英語版が入ってないのに気付いてガックリしました。
曲は良いのですがつかいまわしが多く値段ほどの価値があるのか微妙だが前述の2曲が無いことを除けば個人的には満足してます。

この素晴らしい曲たちを東京ディズニーランドとかで流してほしい。みんな喜ぶ。それほど、下村さんが作った曲の数々は、ディズニーの世界観にマッチしているのだ。ゲーム音楽も変わった。昔はピコピコだった(笑)

ラヴェルのピアノ作品集。全集となっているが、収録曲は「鏡 水の戯れ 亡き王女のためのパヴァーヌ 古風なメヌエット 前奏曲 シャブリエ風に ボロディン風に ハイドンの名によるメヌエット マ・メール・ロワ クープランの墓 夜のガスパール ソナチネ 高雅にして感傷的なワルツ パレード（バレエ音楽のためのスケッチ） メヌエット」である。めったに聴く機会のない小曲を含むが「ラ・ヴァルス」は収録されていない。ピアノを弾いているのはアレクサンドル・タロー（Alexandre Tharaud）。1968年フランス生まれのピアニストでラモー、サンサーンス、ラヴェル、プーランクを得意としているようだ。
